My name is Ignazia, I am the landlady of the Bed & Breakfast Il Giardino di Valentina, and I would love to welcome you there. I was born in 1957 here in the village of Escolca,. I came back here in 2005 after having lived half of my life, away, first in Rome and later on in Milan. Tired of accountancy and administration work in the North, I decided to go back to Sardegna in order to be again in contact with nature and more human like rhythms.  I have a 12 year old daughter, Valentina, who is the soul of this house. She is still young but she has already travelled a lot: she was born in Milan, and then we moved to Vigevano. She went to India to attend an international school, and eventually, she came back to live in Escolca with me. Valentina loves all the animals, speaks English very well and helps a lot with the customers especially for public relations with their children.

The third member of the family is my father Peppino. He is 90 and has been a widower since 1991. He doesn’t has any problem to talk to everyone, telling them about his long and intense life story , during the war and in the mines : as far as he is concerned, the customers can be Italian, Greek, German, English or French, it doesn’t’ matter because in any case, he can only speak an approximate Italian scattered with Greek words.
